Job description
This person needs to understand and determine the technical requirements of the customers and offer solution to the customer requirements accordingly.

Telecommunication Resident Engineer

Responsibilities
• Provide high quality presales technical consultation and develop cost effective, resilient, innovative and reliable Network solutions
• Qualifying business, functional and technical requirements through consultation with client
• To participate in tender bids and win proposals with high client's satisfaction in services and quality solution
• Able to architect and design integrated network solution to meet client's requirements and framework
• Able to conceptualize, present and articulate features and benefits to customers
• Keeps abreast of technological trends in the industry in the area of telecommunication network
• Understand latest network/security threats & issues & their mitigating solutions and support customer when such major case happens
• Delivering quality, timely responses to customer requests
• Be the Technical Solution Lead to engage customers on their IP/MPLS network challenges & programs and to offer a solution to them during both Pre-Sales and Post-sales phases
• Leads certain IP/MPLS solutioning and domain to create and maintain Test documents, tools and templates for re-usability in POCs, Trials and Projects.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering/IT or related discipline.
• CCDP, CCNP, CCIE certification or equivalent would be preferred
• At least 6 years of relevant working experience in the ICT arena - IT Network industry and involved in Presales or Post-sales lead of medium to large/complex Infrastructure or telecommunication industry
• Familiar and conversant in Routing, Switching, Wireless, Voice Network, VOIP, PABX, MPLS, DHCP, DNS, NAC, Proxy, Syslog, Firewall, SSL VPN, and Structured Cabling, especially for network routing and MPLS;
• Ability to perform independently and interface with customers, partners and account team
• Good knowledge of consulting frameworks and methodologies
• Good fundamentals in the understanding of the inter-dependencies of the services such as Network & System
• Knowledge of MPLS technology and the related telecommunication technology, such as data center, SDN, NFV
• Be in the fore-front for new technologies such as SDN, converged IP/Optics, Nuage and have the right aptitude and willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills.
• Excellent presentation/communication skills (written and verbal)
• Independent and ability to work under pressure and in ambiguous environment
• Cross-vendor networking (routing, switching, VPN, Voice, load balancing, security & firewalls, Cisco, HP,Aruba, ALU, Avaya, Fortinet, Riverbed, Juniper, F5) is a plus
• Able to work independently and also in a team; where needed, double-up as Tech Lead/TPM
